I came across a remnant of the cutest little bug fabric...

you ever saw!!! I thought it would be perfect for a little dress for my B to wear for her birthday!!! I'm really excited!! I'm going to crochet the bodice and probably a couple of little bugs to go on clips in her hair!!You know how it is when you're designing something from scratch?? It takes about a million times as long to finish because you are designing as you go, and sometimes that means taking it out 365 times before you get it just right. Well...that's where I am. I was looking for a stitch that would give it some texture and still be tight and modest. I think I found it!!! Isn't this darling??!! The part that you see here is the waistband, I am working the bodice from the bottom to the top. I'm thinking that I'll just add the flecks of the red every few rows. I find myself really wishing that I had some bright yellow, but oh well. I think it will really turn out cute! More photos to come...of course!

Here's a funny picture of my L. He is so obviously a 3rd child!! He sleeps through almost anything! Check out these toddler tossed surroundings!!! LOL ...and still he looks so peaceful!!B found a poncho/shawl that was mine when I was 4 or 5! She immediately wanted it on and she wore it most of the day yesterday!!! She, of course, had to have a hat with it. No matter that it was 100 degrees outside...or that we didn't have a hat that matched at all!!!
I wish I had thought to take a picture of her during nap too! She wore it as a blanket!! So sweet!

I know, I know...It's been a hundred years!!!

I know it's been a few days since I posted. So....I did something dumb! (Shocker!) When I posted my "Show us your life" post and set up my link to Kelly's Korner, I accidentally just put the location of my blog as the link instead of the location of my Kelly's Korner bl0g post! So, I left that post up for a little longer than I usually would have. I promise I didn't forget about you!

Here's a crochet update! I was finally able to get a professional photo of my hanging cocoon photo prop!!!!! I can't believe how awesome it turned out! Brandi, you are a genius with that camera!!! You have such an eye! I am so thankful that God put you in my path!!

So...a couple of weeks ago, my mom sends me this picture of a bright orange elf hat. It looks absolutely huge. She tells me that it's for a large child or a small adult. I'm thinking....who wants to see a sweet photo of a large child or a small adult wearing a bright orange, silly looking, elf hat! I'm picturing a small adult or large child posed like this picture!! LOL!!! So I call my mom and gently tell her that she should make it infant size and add brown....or no one will want it. (Boy was I wrong!!!) Talk about learning my lesson!!! When she sent it to me I took one look and fell in love!!! It fits my E Bug perfectly and he loves it as much as I do!!! I know! I'm nuts! It never dawned on me that a large child didn't necessarily have to be an older child!!! LOL!

That's crazy because my E is over 30 lbs, wearing 3T clothes, and isn't even 2 yet!

So...yes...the person who wants to see a large child wearing a silly looking elf hat is ME!!! Leave me alone!!! He's darling and all 4 of his Fuzzi Bunz Diapers match it great!!! LOL!

Show us your life - Show us what you make!

Thank you Kelly's Korner!!

Here's a little glimpse into the heart of Mama Nettie! My Sweet Mother was teaching me to crochet when I could just barely walk by myself! I know I could make a chain stitch when I was 3 years old! My life revolves around my God and my beautiful family. This crochet business stemmed off of that, entirely by the hand of God! Here are a few of my favorite creations, worn by some of my favorite people!
My Niece S (6 months old), sporting a stylish headwrap!

My sweet friend Kristin, wearing a simple flower headband.

Kristin's niece Zoe Dean in my first hanging cocoon photo prop. (I know that all of you photographers out there are cringing at my photography skills! But...you do your best with what you've got, or in my case, with what you haven't got!)
And these are my sock monkey shorties! They were a special order from my friend Brandi and I think that they turned out great! They are probably my favorite creation in the last year!! 100% wool, ready to lanolize and use as a cloth diaper cover/wool soaker!

I absolutely love a challenge and have never seen something that I couldn't make! If you have a crochet wish, comment on this post and we'll see if we can't make it come true!!
